I'm sure the rest of the SAD universe shall be thinking of the late Linda Blair this Christmas. It is an everlasting irony that after surviving the gruelling process of filming The Exorcist she should not live beyond the very film's publicity, but instead pass from this realm on December 26th 1973. As she explained posthumously to Mark Kermode in 1997 "The press literally scared me to death." Sadly, she also went on to die in Lesley Nielsen picture Repossessed, regarded by this critic as like Airplane only not the remotest bit funny. Linda, bereft of life for some 26 years now, is all set to appear in new horror film The Linda Blair Project. Here's hoping it will revive more than her career.
